Culture & Inhabitants:
The culture of Moonshadow Valley is seen as pretentious and thrives on reputation. Despite encouraging the bizarre and unexplained, the locals of Moonshadow Valley pride themselves in being a community of elegance and sophistication. A great opportunity to showcase their sophistication and taste in fashion, is through the annual celebration of Hollowin. Hollowin is a joint-celebration with The City of Hollowleaf. During this week-long event, locals from both neighborhoods dress completely in ghoulish attire and participate in a festive parade that trails all throughout the streets of the hosting neighborhood. This grand festivity celebrates the independence of Moonshadow and honors the ominous entities in Gloomcross Hills that helped aid the final victory in The Battle of the Hollow. Naturally, this is a celebration between Moonshadow Valley and The City of Hollowleaf, but all from The Ghostly come to attend and admire the various apparel, enjoy the extravagant floats and delicious foods. In the past, this ceremony was mainly painfully boring speeches, but thanks to the late Dr. ___, it is now to celebrate their similarities, and admire their differences of Moonshadow and Hollowleaf. And of course to welcome the extraordinary, bizarre, and grotesque, most of all. |
