A free-spirited human girl, with a mysterious aura, is reliable friend to all Living Pumpkin. She often spends her time either in The Woods of Hollowleaf or in The Pumpkin Diner located in the heart of Hollowleaf.

Anise is a mysterious presence for even the locals of Hollowleaf. She not only is in very good terms with The Living Pumpkins, but she seems to not have any blood family around. This type of gossip does not stop her though from welcoming newcomers and greeting familiar faces with her classic bright smile.

There has also been darker whispers that follow Anise, without her having a single clue of why. Some would say they might have seen her late within the night, pouncing around within the dark woods and a misplaced hazy air about her. 

Some even try to connect it to her unclear origins, but without any solid evidence outside of small-town gossip.
